HERITAGE.

The building was designed and built by New Zealand architect Reginald Uren in the 1930s and started its life as the local council offices before being used as a venue and then falling into disrepair after it was mostly closed due to escalating maintenance costs in the 1980s. Over the years it has hosted a number of globally significant events from across politics, sport, music, film, theatre and more which has formed part of the Town Hall’s illustrious history and has provided a remarkable foundation for the local community and those further afield to continue this wonderful legacy into the future.

STORY.

We are working with developers Far East Consortium (FEC) and MAKE Architects on the restoration and future operation of the beautiful, grade-II* listed Hornsey Town Hall in Crouch End, Haringey. The project sees a £36m investment to meticulously restore the Town Hall which is currently on the at risk register and transform it into a new Arts Centre and hotel together with a newly built collection of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments in the Town Hall grounds.

FUTURE.

We will create a modern day, mix-use Arts Centre in North London with performance and event spaces, workspace, retail and hospitality offerings.

The Arts Centre will be a creative hub which is fully accessible to the local community and a place that promotes creative enterprise and is home to multiple SMEs and freelancers using affordable studio, rehearsal and workspaces.

When combined with a high quality hospitality offering HTH Arts centre will become a vibrant place to socialise, work and enjoy as this much loved heritage building enters a new era.
